SERVICES
Our services are fairly lively. We no longer have an organ, but instead have a worship group. They play, amongst other things, electric guitars ands drums. So if you don't like loud music, we might not be the place for you! You're very welcome to give us a try anyway.
We believe that the Bible was inspired by God, and therefore it is given a prominent position

SUNDAY BIBLE CLUB
Sunday Bible Club (Sunday School) meets every Sunday morning except the first Sunday of each month, when it is a Family and Parade service in the church. After a time of worship together in the church, the boys, girls and teenagers go into the church hall and other parts of the building for their own time of worship, teaching and practical activities. They meet in the following groups:
Crèche for the under 3s.
Sparklers for 3 to 6 year olds.
All-stars for 6 to 8 year olds.
Trailblazers for 8 to 11 year olds.
Young Teens for 11 to 13 year olds.
Teens for 13 year olds and upwards
The groups finish at the same time as the church service.
Sometimes the children take part in the services.
From time to time special events are run by the Sunday Bible Club for the boys and girls, including
parties, outings, and a Holiday Bible Club in the summer holiday period.

BUSY FINGERS
This group meets between 11.00am and 1.00pm on Tuesday mornings. Members produce garments and blankets through knitting, sewing or crocheting, which are then donated to charity.

WEDNESDAY MORNING FELLOWSHIP
The main purpose of this group is to read and study the bible, with opportunities to discuss
the issues which are raised. The group meets every Wednesday at 10.00am, starting with a cup of tea or coffee.
The meeting closes at 12.00pm after a time of prayer in which all can take part, either by praying themselves or
sharing concerns and issues which they would like prayer for.

GIRLS BRIGADE
This is a uniformed organization for girls aged from 5 years to 16 years.
Activities include games, handwork, music, cookery, art, Bible study, service to others and many more.
The groups meet at the following times:
Explorers (5-8 years) Wednesday 5.30-6.45pm
Juniors (8-11 years) Friday 6.00-7.30pm
Seniors (11-14 years) Friday 7.30-9.15pm
Brigaders (14 years+) Friday 7.30-9.30pm

FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
Sometimes one feels that there are too many people in the church to get to know everyone well. Sometimes one wants to develop close relationships with a smaller group of people. This is where house groups can fit in.
They are informal groups of 6-12 people who meet regularly for friendship, Bible study and prayer
in peoples homes. House groups provide an opportunity to learn how to apply the Christian faith in everyday situations.
They are open to all adults, whether they are Christians or those who would simply like to know more about the
Christian faith.

CHATTERBOX
Chatterbox is weekly meeting for those with pre-school children or babies. Anyone is welcome - mums, dads, grandparents, childminders, mums-to-be etc.
The children can play with a wide range of toys and there is a special story time for them. refreshments are available including a choice of low price hot lunches suitable for both adults and young children. The group meets every Friday in school term time between 11.00am and 1.00pm.

EVERGREENS
Evergreens is a social event which is arranged approximately 4 times a year, taking place on a Saturday afternoon between 2.30pm and 5.00pm. It aims to provide Christian fellowship to anyone who is over 50 years old. The entertainment is provided by church members and is of a varied nature: these events usually include a quiz, music, poetry and a speaker. The afternoon is concluded with refreshments which are provided free of charge.
ALPHA
Alpha is a group which meets for 10 consecutive weeks, and is an opportunity to discover more about the Christian faith. Alpha groups are springing up all over the world. They are primarily aimed at those who are not yet Christians or those who have just recently become Christians, though anyone is welcome to attend. Each evening begins with a meal, followed by a talk and then discussion.
